The two-week workshop explores traditional artisanal techniques that shaped local life but are struggling to find a place in contemporary practice. It has two parts: in the first week, participants work directly with materials under the guidance of Alcídio Andrade (wicker) and Bento Silva (espadana); in the second week, designers Miguel Flor and Soraia Gomes Teixeira mentor them in creative processes, product development, innovation, and new markets for artisanal production.
