Guarda Rios (or River Guards) make their debut researching São Miguel’s river basins and, through their River Observatory, engage students from Ribeira Grande High School to create playful devices that foster ecological knowledge and collective creation — because nothing awakens shared memory more than a splash of water. During the Symposium, the collective shares the experiences of this workshop with participants in collaboration with Paula Aguiar, bringing the symposium outdoors and into the flow of the rivers.
