Margarida Andrade

Margarida Andrade, born in Ponta Delgada, takes a self-critical approach to the search for environmentally sustainable practices and community projects. Among her solo exhibitions, the highlights include: No futuro também se usavam pincéis (ACAC, 2022), with the launch of the book A Décima Ilha; um herbário de plantas por nascer (Galeria Fonseca Macedo, 2023); and o mar torna o horizonte numa miragem (Festival Walk&Talk, 2018). Since 2024, with the project não me esqueças, she has been organizing community walks based on mourning; this led to her film Enxurrada, about water scarcity in Portugal.
