Uhura Bqueer

Through performance, photography, cinema and textile art, Uhura Bqueer produces images, and individual and collective actions addressing concepts of gender, raciality, LGBTQIA+ activism and re-readings of art history in the Amazon. Her works speak critically and provocatively of the existence of her black and trans body in Brazil’s institutions and popular festivals.
