Joana Sá

Joana Sá is a composer and pianist. Her work is marked by transdisciplinarity, experimentation and the search for artistic (de)formats. As a soloist, she created “a body as listening – resonant cartography of music (im)materialities”, a recent work with multiple outputs and formats, as well as the trilogy of solos “à escuta | o aberto”. She performs in national and international venues, is active in several ensembles and has published several albums and a book. She founded and is artistic co-director of à escuta, a collective for artistic creation and interdisciplinary reflection, developed in and with communities in Serra da Estrela.
