Gonçalo Bernardo / “ÇALO DO MAR E DA TERRA” is a composer, digital arts producer and researcher in the field of computer music and its creative technologies. He works as an Audio Software Engineer developing plugins and sound effects for musicians and producers (ARTURIA, Sound Particles). His artistic work combines programming and assisted generative composition to create immersive sound installations in spatial audio. With a transdisciplinary approach, he explores the tension between the organic and the digital, drawing on a classical past and rigour in signal processing. As a researcher, his scientific publications focus on generative musical systems for indefinite durations, with special emphasis on the creation of computational soundscapes.
