37.25 – Núcleo de Artes Performativas & Daniela Cruz

37ºN 25ºW are the coordinates that locate São Miguel and that give name to the group originally formed by 9 dancers from the island with the purpose of sharing and disseminating their experiences through dance. Together, they created an innovative path, inspired by the island’s  heritage, the uniqueness of its geography and the construction of an innovative look at Azorean culture, through interdisciplinarity and collaboration with other artistic fields.

The philosophy that guides this group of performers, choreographers and creators is based on the principle that there is no single standard to be followed. The work is collaborative, allowing itself to be influenced by the exchange of languages ​​and styles in the various meetings between the group members and different choreographers, who together drive this continuous artistic evolution. 

In its trajectory, it features works by guest choreographers such as Victor Hugo Pontes, Marco da Silva Ferreira, Daniel Cardoso, Filipa Francisco, Luís Guerra and João dos Santos Martins.
