How do we listen to what the earth inscribes on bodies and what bodies return to the earth? This station invites us to think of body and territory as surfaces of inscription — mineral, epidermal, and symbolic layers where time, memory, and gesture accumulate. Between skin and earth, abundance manifests as material and spiritual reverberation, a language written in subterranean rhythms and reactivated through embodied experience.

Sofia Rocha’s installation Buraco Azul extends her research into ritual geologies and systems of listening to the earth. It creates a threshold-space where stone and gesture become speculative language: an architecture of connection between visible and invisible, a place of transition, attention, and bodily listening. The work unfolds into graphic forms tattooed on the skin, expanding beyond the gallery as incorporated mineral memory and a shared gesture of abundance. In dialogue with clay pieces from the Municipal Museum of Vila Franca — vessels, containers, and incense burners — it establishes correspondences between local heritage, ancestral matter, and ritual imagination.
