Over a period of six months, six young people from São Miguel were encouraged to travel and think creatively about the importance of living under a logic of abundance. Based on their everyday experiences, Inês Amorim (19), Júlia Craveiro (18), Júlia Rego (14), Martim Teixeira (17), Pilar Benevides (17), and Sara Almeida (21) explored different artistic techniques and developed projects with the support of André Laranjinha and the SINTONIZAR team. Their creations are presented as part of Walk&Talk Biennial, and will tour the six municipalities of São Miguel between 2025 and 2026, organized by curators and museographers Diogo Sousa and José Amorim, after their inauguration in September at Parque Atlântico / Sonae Sierra.
DESCOLA — Contest for Young Creators arises from a proposal selected by the Azorean Participatory Budget and aims to encourage artistic expression and collaboration in innovative projects in the field of visual arts.
