In this talk, the artist explores the geological and the inhuman, reflecting on how stones unsettle human notions of life and non-life — from producing oxygen and electricity to altering brain waves. Through a speculative approach that weaves storytelling with studio experimentation using minerals, metals, earth, plants, and other natural materials, she examines how the aesthetic and temporal qualities of stone evoke longing and desire. These libidinal economies, she suggests, are deeply entangled with histories of colonialism, extraction, and global politics.
